At Mixology Digital, we believe people do their best work when they feel their best. That’s why we introduced our Health and Wellbeing Allowance; an annual benefit that gives everyone in the business the freedom to invest in their own self-care, however that looks for them.

From art workshops to gym memberships, nutrition plans to meditation retreats, the allowance can be used in all kinds of ways to support mental and physical wellbeing. And because life isn’t one-size-fits-all, the only rule is that it needs to be something that supports you.

Whether it’s workouts, wanderlust, or winding down, the team have found plenty of different ways to make the most of the benefit. For some, it's about finding new energy. For others, it's about slowing down. And for many, it's simply about doing something that feels good. Here’s a look at how some of the Mixology team have made it work for them.

Fitness and movement

Sometimes wellbeing starts with getting your body moving, and for a few of us, it’s been the perfect excuse to double down on fitness goals.

“I’ve used mine on personal training sessions (two a week), which has really helped with my weight loss and strengthening goals.”

- Emma Tinker, Account Director EMEA

“My preferred way of maintaining my mental and physical health is taking spin classes on a regular basis! Our Health & Wellbeing Allowance has been so clutch and lets me focus on giving each workout my all without having to worry about the cost.”

- Gina Kirkwood, Senior Campaign Manager

Mental wellbeing and personal growth

Others have used the allowance to create space for personal growth and check in with themselves, choosing options that support their mental wellbeing in a way that feels intentional and restorative.

“I’ve been using my wellbeing allowance for counselling sessions. It’s been a really meaningful way to invest in myself by dedicating time to reflect, reset, and focus on what I need in a way that feels genuinely helpful.”

- Natasha Vickery-Orme, Creative Content Director

Travel and flexibility

Wellbeing doesn’t always look like structured routines, sometimes it’s about freedom, fresh scenery, and feeling connected to the people (or animals!) you care about.

“Very grateful for the wellness allowance. It gave me the opportunity to work remotely from Greece and also spend time volunteering with a local cat charity. Two rescue cats later, I truly feel fortunate 😻

- Katerina Charalambous, Head of Campaigns

“I used my wellness allowance to work remotely from Spain and Poland, which allowed me to spend more time with my family abroad while continuing to manage my work responsibilities effectively. I'm very grateful for this perk.”

- Caroline Leonard, Senior Campaign Manager

However we choose to use it, the Health and Wellbeing Allowance has become a small but meaningful way to support what matters to each of us, whether that’s movement, mindfulness, or two new rescue cats.
