The top of the funnel represents the awareness stage of the buyer journey, where prospects first discover a brand, problem, or opportunity. At this point, audiences are seeking information rather than solutions, making education and thought leadership more effective than direct sales messaging.

 

TOFU content, such as blogs, guides, infographics, and social media posts, builds visibility and trust. It positions the brand as a credible source of insight, helping buyers define their challenges and explore new perspectives.

 

A strong TOFU strategy expands reach, attracts the right audiences into the funnel, and lays the foundation for later engagement by aligning early content with genuine buyer interests.
