Sales-accepted lead (SAL)

A sales accepted lead (SAL) is a lead that has been reviewed and approved by sales after being passed from marketing. It confirms mutual agreement that the lead is worth pursuing. Tracking SALs ensures accountability between teams and validates lead quality before deeper engagement. 

 

When both teams apply the same standards for acceptance, forecasting becomes more reliable and conversion rates improve throughout the funnel.
